This month I would like to talk about a couple of features that can seriously up your game in website lead generation. So, if you use your website to generate leads like most do, or if you would like to, then listen up!! 💖


We at Digital Aspect have delved into embracing the power of Artificial Intelligence. 🦾 It's the latest and greatest in the digital world, and I've realized it's quite a lot more than just a fad - more like a new way of life.


A personal note: I have to admit, at first I was quite resistive to the idea of AI, being a big fan of the Terminator movies, but after a while I have come to know that we'll be better off living with the machines instead of fighting against them. After all, I think the only way we humans can remain in control is if we don't shy away from the steering wheel!

To that end, as a few important baby steps in the right direction, we have harnessed a few AI capabilities within our software solutions:


Some examples are:


  • Using AI to create social media posts in our very own social media posting & scheduling platform
  • Using AI to make answering reviews much more efficient and professional in our review management platform
  • Using AI to create newsletters and blog content (not in this case - this really is Fran typing away on a beautiful Wednesday morning, here in Tampa,)
  • etc.


But the feature I would like to highlight today is our ChatGPT enabled website chat. This coupled with the ability to automatically gather contact information from website visitors, enabling further marketing strategies to those who have shown interest by visiting your website.


As we focus on WordPress websites as the best and most versatile way to create websites, we have launched two new plug-ins. But first, some lazy AI research on the subject of website leads...


I think it's safe to say that businesses invest a lot into generating leads online...


I was curious, so I asked ChatGPT:

Ever wonder how many leads are lost due to inefficient communication through the websites?

Again, I asked ChatGPT:

Alright... maybe not the most definitive research, but you get the idea!! ;)


Here's an example. A potential buyer/client lands on your website, they like what they see but they have a couple questions, they are the shy type, so they decide to use your chat feature instead of calling (or they just leave if you don't have one.) They wait for a few minutes after sending in a message. Nothing happens so they leave, or at best, there is an automated answer saying "someone will get back to you."


Now, enter the two solutions I allude to above:


1. Website Visitor Identity Capturing


2. ChatGPT Website Chat


You invest in ads, social media, emails, etc. to encourage prospects to visit your website and take action, only the great majority will visit the site and then leave without a trace beyond an uptick in your Google Analytics.


They land on the website and they're asked if they accept cookies, etc. Through this, they grant permission to share their information with you. Instantly, you have their name, email and many demographic data points to help you navigate your market. They do not need to fill out their information in a form - this is automatic.


From that point, you have the ability to send them follow up emails, such as a pleasant warm-up campaign to get them into communication. You can add them to your regular email newsletter (like this email from me to you.) You can write to them directly with a personal message, etc. Whatever you choose to do, the point is, the customer journey can be continued.


Add to this the AI chat feature. Now when they choose to reach out to you, no matter what time of day or night. The AI chat feature - trained by the entire contents of your website and blogs, and everything you have fed it separately - it will respond conversationally with practical answers the website visitors can USE. And it will encourage the visitor to leave their contact information for further communication with humans at a later point. Even better, if they chat with your AI during working hours, the bot will seamlessly relay the chat to a representative on your end to continue communication with this potential customer.


This is working wonders in increasing website conversions.

Hope you had a fantastic Saint Paddy's Day! 🍀 This is Fran with Digital Aspect, and your monthly installment of digital marketing insights. Today it's going to be all about WEBSITES . After all, this is our forte, and what we consider to be the first and strongest building block to your online presence and lead generating strategy. So, let’s talk about the importance of websites, and tactically how you can make sure yours is working as well as it should be for your company. As far as online activity, this is typically THE point of conversion in your digital marketing strategy. Whether your prospect fills out a contact form, or calls in, or straight up purchases your product, your website plays a big part in this. And, to be clear, I am including Landing Pages under the category of "websites" (for all you "Funnel Hackers" out there.) All of your online marketing efforts are pointless if your website doesn't convert!! That's why websites are where we always start, and we work back from there through the whole customer journey. So let's start! STAY TUNED... toward the bottom, I am giving you a very powerful checklist for your use in making your website awesome and truly productive for your company... Why are websites such a big deal? 1. The Digital Handshake (a bit cheesy, but the analogy works) Think of your website as the modern-day handshake. It's the first impression a customer gets of your brand. No pressure, but this is where you make it or break it. A sleek, user-friendly website says, "Hello, we're professionals, and we've got our 💩 together!" A website from the dark ages?... Not so much. 2. 24/7 Comprehensive and Interactive Brochure, and Salesperson Your website is still up during off hours, tirelessly working like the ultimate salesperson. It’s there, ready to provide information, answer questions, and even close deals! Plus, a lot of times people don’t even want to talk to a salesperson. They like reading up on your services at their own pace to make an informed, uninfluenced decision. So let’s provide this beautiful opportunity for passive enlightenment. 3. Lead-Generating Machine Websites are like magnets for potential customers. With the right SEO and content strategy, your website attracts the right kind of visitors. These aren't just any visitors; If the SEO is done right, using high-volume, low-competition keywords that qualified buyers would type in, these are leads that can be nurtured into paying customers and clients. 4. Brand Central Station (again, pretty cheeky, I know) Your website is the ultimate showcase for your brand. It's where your brand's voice, style, and offerings all come together. It’s where you tell your story, showcase your products or services, and establish your expertise. Honestly, I would even go so far as to say it should be your primary stable datum for you and your staff to keep in sync with what your company or project is all about! What products or services you provide, what your goals are as a company, and your promise of value to your customers. This way you can establish a coordinated voice between your team and the outside world. To sum it up… No matter your approach - be it advertising, social media, email campaigns, cold calls, or traditional mail - your website remains the central hub. This holds true even if you're in contracting or another B2B (business-to-business) sector and doubt the role of a website in attracting new clients. I'd argue it's vital to establish a professional online presence. After all, many people appreciate the chance to do some research before closing on a deal - I know I always do! Bottom line is, these days, if you have a business, get yourself a professional website already! And, yes... even if you think you'll cleverly avoid the need for a proper and professional website , you cannot afford to have people look you up and find a subpar online presence.
